Loadcell Indicators

Load Cell Indicator 4215

Download Data Sheet

The Morehouse 4215 is used with strain gauge based load cells. It is a robust, portable load cell indicator with sensing. The six wire sensing means it eliminates errors from the resistance changes due to temperature, as well as length and gauge of the cable.

This indicator can read mV/V and use free, custom Morehouse software to convert the mV/V units to engineering units with coefficient files from ASTM E74 or ISO 376 reports. This meter is often the choice for accredited calibration service providers that want high accuracy and convenience but do not want to break the bank.

Features include:

Fully bipolar range +/- 999,999 Display
24-bit resolution
USB connecting Interface
True 6 wire sense capability
0.005 % non-linearity
Morehouse has computer software available for the 4215 that allows for conversion from mV/V to lbf, kgf, kN, N and reduces the overall cost for the customer while meeting the quality requirements in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and complying with ASTM E74 and ISO 376 standards.

NCSLI RP-12 states in section 12.3 “The uncertainty in the value or bias, always increases with time since calibration”. When the drift occurs, the indicator needs to be reprogrammed. Most quality systems require an "As Received" calibration. Therefore, the indicator needs to be reprogrammed, and an "As Returned" calibration is performed.

The actual level of work results in calibration costs that are much higher than they need to be. Morehouse has developed software to avoid the excess costs because the coefficients used in the software are based on mV/V values and the "As Received" and "As Returned" calibrations are the same. The end user only needs to update the coefficients in the computer software.

HADI High Accuracy Load cell Indicator

Download Data Sheet

The Morehouse High Accuracy Digital Indicator (HADI) provides a best of breed product for force and torque measurement processes. This 6-wire sensing analog-to-digital USB converter offers the use of our Morehouse direct reading software, with multiple load cell configurations, longer cables, and lower uncertainty.

It provides non-linearity less than 0.002 % of full scale, +/- 20-bit system, with 172 A/D conversions per second. Coefficients from fitted curves are used to convert mV/V to engineering units (lbf, kgf, and Newtons).

Features include:

A true 6-wire sensing USB device
ASTM Class A lower limits better than 2 % when paired with a Morehouse Ultra-Precision Load Cell
System is fully USB powered, eliminating excess power cables
Direct reading according to ASTM E74, ASTM E2428, and ISO 376
For calibration of load cells, testing machines, and other force or torque systems
The HADI requires a computer for power and to display load or torque values. The HADI system with software complies with ASTM E74, E2428, and ISO 376. Accreditation bodies require compliance with these standards. The HADI system with Morehouse software eliminates the need to use load tables, excel reports, and other interpolation methods to ensure compliance with these standards.

GB2 High Stability Gauge Buster Indicator

The GB2 High Stability Gauge Buster is a "close to" direct reading measurement indicator that can meet the portability, sensitivity, and stability demands for field use with strain gauge-based load cell instrumentation.

This indicator is recommended for rugged environments or when "close to" direct reading is good enough. The unit is set up with our signature 12-point calibration service and can be used for force applications such as calibrating Universal Tension Machines (UTM) in accordance with ASTM E4 as well as several other force measuring applications.
